I have time for a few more classic car shoots before the weather gets crappy. What classic car should I shoot a video on? I’m taking all suggestions but the one rule is that it can’t be German. I just completed a Mercedes 230SL video and I have a 1970 Porsche 911 and 1968 (I think) Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 lined up so it’s kinda German overload here.
So far I have been unsuccessful in tracking down an early Mini to shoot (Though I found plenty of later ones) but if anyone knows of an early Mini near the GTA, let me know!
I also have a lead on a pristine Volvo 122 sedan (coupe pictured) so I might shoot that too. Taking all suggestions!

Not sure if you consider this classic, but E28 M5.

Well we’re in German overload right now so we can’t shoot anything German for a while (gotta keep it evenly balanced) but I recently shot an E34 M5 so hopefully that does the trick for you!

Well we have a 300 SEL 6.3 shoot in the pipes. Could take a while to be ready though.

I so would if I could find one. So many poorly done Impalas out there. Finding a stock one is so painfully difficult. I used to own a 1966 Impala so I have a personal connection here.

Awesome! I'll watch it at home.
To answer the thumbnail, no. The E39 was the best M5.

LS-4 Monte maybe? I dunno, something big block and uncommon would be neat.

If it’s not a Mercury - I’m out

I could line up a video with a 1958 Cadillac ‘vert. is that bargey enough?

The problem is that un-modified muscle cars that also get driven are SO hard to finf.

I hear you. I actually see a fair amount of them at cruise nights but they are always something common like a Chevelle or Camaro. Not exactly exciting these days.

It is progress

Yeah? Which of these would you choose for a video? (See link) He takes them out quite frequently and I could line up a shoot for it.

I love that Volvo 122 idea.
Maybe an early Celica? The 240Z and its variants get all the attention, and few remember that the Celica started as a RWD sports car before it became a FWD secretary’s car.

That’s a very good point about the Celica. My dad used to drive a 1974 model.

I like those! Sadly, the majority of our audience wouldn’t “get” it. Oh well

I am a sucker for Mopars so anything with that.

Have you already done a Citroen DS?

Yup! Though I didn’t shoot this one.

Something old and British, a Saab, or pre 1980 JDM. I’d love to see a Midget, 93, or Mk1 Civic.

We’ve already done a feature on a 1st-gen Civic but the others could work. I’d love to do a feature on an early Spridget
